• Abolition of child labour

• Abolition of bonded (forced) labour

• Free and compulsory education for all; equity in education; common syllabus and child friendly schools

• Right to work as a fundamental right (with stress on implementation of minimum wages for all)

• Ensuring gender equality

• Protecting environment

• Eradication of Child labour in brick kilns through ‘joyful learning system’

• Establishing Worker’s Right protection movement to rehabilitate the lives of the workers

• Organizing youth Development Clubs/ Federations for positive youth development

• Restoring traditional, folk arts of the Tamil Culture through cultural groups to permeate the need amidst the target population.

By our constant advocacy and lobbying through various networks and forums, the government of India had issued a notification in October 2006 banning employment of children as domestics, in eateries, resorts and recreational centers. Employment of children in hazardous industries is already prohibited.

Another landmark achievement of the voice of the people is the Constitutional Amendment in 2005 making ‘free and compulsory primary education’ a fundamental right.
